These images are inspired by the italo-french play "Notredame de Paris". The play navigates the theme of courtly love, and the betrayal of it's principles,
shared between a lady and her lover.
Eroticism and violence, passion and death, these contradictions come alive
in the verses, inspiring their translation to an image storytelling format.
Two women find themselves on the shores of the Mediterranean sea. They pursue each other beyond the frame, they undress, then cover up, only
to expose themselves again.
In asingle shot, a gentle touch is captured within the waves.
A lover carrying more armor than heart. A lady letting her robes fly away with the wind. "La monture" is the title, inspired by the lyrics of one of the play's songs, in wich the lady urges her lover to hang a gypsy woman in order to make up for his infidelity, yet another dichotomy: love and death.
