COSMODINAS is a brand with a rich heritage, born in the heart of the capital city of Uzbekistan. Designer Madina Makhmudova skillfully blends traditional elements with futuristic designs in her new collection. The collection combines modernity and urbanity with the ancient traditions of Central Asian culture.
The title of the collection "Jangchi" refers to the "golden age," a time when noble warriors were admired for their greatness and strength of spirit. The narrative centres around a young bride, who has lost her husband in war. Her anger gives her an almost mystical quality, enhancing the dramatic nature of her quest for revenge.
The designer states: "It was only during the process of creating the sketches that I realised all the elements were connected by a common thread. I used only three colours: red, representing bloody wars; white, symbolizing innocent victims; and black, representing the grief and mourning of families. Together, these colours create a powerful and dramatic contrast, that emphasises the deep emotional content.
For me, this collection was an opportunity to pay homage to history and culture while maintaining a modern aesthetic."
